About Mel
Mel Robbins is a no-nonsense life and career coach and syndicated radio and TV personality whose expertise in giving relationship, career and business advice has grown into an impressive media career. She’s on a mission to help people get what they want and she’s doing it one-call-at-a-time every day on her syndicated radio show, monthly columns in Success magazine, television appearances and growing online presence. She’s an inspiration to working women, moms and business owners across America and she’s only just getting started. In the male-dominated personal development industry, Mel is a fresh face, a fresh perspective and a rising female star.
RADIO
In 2007 Mel launched her first call-in advice radio show on Sirius Satellite radio and produced a successful morning drive call-in show.
In 2008, Mel left Sirius, partnered with Borders and launched Borders Radio. Today, she broadcasts a daily, call-in advice show from a custom-built radio booth in Borders’ largest bookstore in downtown Boston. The show is syndicated on smaller stations across a few select markets where Borders has flagship stores – including Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh and online at Bordersmedia.com and Borders.com. She continues to produce this show from 11am – 12 pm EST Monday-Friday.
In 2009, Mel signed on with Greater Media on WTKK Boston Talks 96.9 FM and launched The Mel Robbins Show on Saturday mornings. Under the direction of Program Director Grace Blazer, Mel has created a highly original program that takes everyday news stories, weaves together commentary and advice, bringing the news down to a personal level. In less than one year, WTKK has changed Mel’s time slot, added an hour (making it a 3 hour show) and has her as the regular fill-in for their most popular weekday host. She has accumulated an impressive list of advertising sponsors and Time Spent Listening (TSL) ratings for her show are among the highest in the Boston market.
TV
In addition to her radio pursuits, in 2008, Mel was a paid contributor to CNBC on “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” and in 2007 was signed by ABC / Disney to a television deal after having launched her first radio show on Sirius Satellite radio. She makes frequent appearances as an expert on the morning shows and cable news networks.
